Temporarily makes your opponent's attacks OVERPOWERED | |
Description
Heavy will cause the target to be forced to spend additional Energon when attacking, over multiple turns. Think of the lovechild between Drain and Repeating and you get the idea. Heavy will cause the target to expend an additional 3 energon per attack, for a randomly determined number of rounds ranging from 3 to 5. Extra energon will be incurred whether the attack is Energon or Ammo based.
Heavy does so over time instead of immediately, so in some cases it is less effective than Drain. However, it will cause characters with Ammo attacks to be required to spend Energon in order to attack, so it is detrimental to ammo-based combatants where Drain is relatively useless.
Future functionality may include causing additional Energon to be spent when doing non-attack options such as using !patch on an ally or using !pass.
Heavy can be used for attacks that literally make the target heavy such as gravity wells or powerful magnets, as well as for attacks that cause bleeding such as chainsaws, or energy loss such as speed stealing guns. Also ice beams or glue guns. Lots of things!
Strategy
Energon is pretty important if you like using big attacks and costly effects, and removing your opponent's Energon means they are less able to fry you with that dangerous Overpowered Disintegrate weapon. If the other guy has a Big Gun, you can make him lose the power to effectively use it against you. They can still !pass to regain lost fuel, but that's one less turn they are shooting at you with anything other than a global. It also takes a chunk out of a Forcefield user's ability to keep thier shield up.
Since it drains your opponent slowly over time, they may continue to pummel you into submission while you are waiting for it to complete it's effect.
Ammo users always have at least 10 energon, so unless they have spent that, they will still be able to perforate you with gauss rifles and rocket launchers.
