"Go chew on a microchip!" was Ironhide's slogan. Preferred action to words. Was oldest, toughest, most battle-tested Autobot. Was bodyguard to Optimus Prime. Was in charge of guarding anything of importance. Gruff, but kind. Trithyllium-steel skin made him nearly invulnerable to attack. Shot variety of liquids from supercooled nitrogen to superheated lead. Had sonar, radar, radiowave detector. Was slowest and most fragile of the group.
History

Ironhide was one of Optimus Prime's most loyal soldiers for millions of years. He was among the Ark crew who crashlanded on Earth and awoke in 1984, and later served directly under Optimus on Cybertron after the Decepticons overtook it. Tasked with leading a mission to Autobot City on Earth in 2005, Ironhide was among the casualties of that ill-fated mission, personally blasted to atoms by Megatron after a valiant struggle.
