It is said that with enough time and the proper materials, there is no chemical that Contagion cannot synthesize; no toxicant that he cannot produce. An amoral, often times eerie engine of virulent destruction he is as capable of a fighter as he is a scientist. Heavily armed with his noxious rainmaker cannons in shoulder mounts, powerful cyclone wind weapons on his forearms and a heavy flail in his hands Contagion converts to a MiG-23 Flogger to spread his deadly chemicals over a vast area. An exceptionally steady warrior, he is seemingly as indifferent to Autobot weapons fire as he is to the vast ecological destruction his weapons cause.

History

A long time ago, during the era of Megatron a series of special seekers were created. Long part of Shockwave's defense fores on Cybertron, they were nonetheless very limited in numbers. Each was given the specific ability to produce a paralyzing acid rain that interfered with Autobot systems. Contagion is/was the chemist of the Rainmakers, producing the noxious chemicals that they use to do their work. He was created early on for this and served on Cybertron in relative anonymity until the war broke out on Earth.

Arriving, he deliberatly abandoned his tetrajet altmode for the MiG-23 Flogger. Historical and intelligent enough to look around and be choosy, he studied a few terran aircraft and found reports that this craft had been used to deploy chemical weapons in Iraq. For bitter irony, he chose this aircraft to disguise himself and prepared to rain destruction down upon humanity. Shockwave had other ideas, however -- ordering him back to Cybertron to process and build up stockpiles for other rainmakers. This assignment completed, Contagion has just now returned to earth.
